COMMENTS: This unusual and somewhat rare
tourmaline seems to have a very faint color change from being
slightly pinkish white to slightly blue and yellow tinted
white. Achroite tourmalines may be the least common of the
tourmaline colors and more rare even than pure yellows, reds
or blues. They generally have some kind of a tint, as does
this one. After setting, this stone will likely look even
closer to colorless in most lighting conditions.
